Working on Red

I’d like to have the illustrations really pop, even when they show one color. These are some sample illustrations using mostly red. I’ve added the compliment of red, green, to create some shadows. I attended a SCBWI conference in Austin and got some great feedback on my work from lots of talented people including: Marla Frazee, Mark McVeigh, Jessica Lee Anderson. Thanks to their feedback, I’ve spent months editing the text to Super Baby Adventures in Color and now I’m moving on to the illustrations.

Super Baby Cures Color Fever

Here is the first page of the book. Super Baby visits Jesse who is sick in bed with color fever. Super Baby has super glasses that allow Jesse see one color at a time. Which sure makes learning color a bit easier.

Superbaby Is Born!

I had this idea for a new little super hero—SUPER BABY. My favorite part so far the ‘S’ shaped hair on the top of Super Baby’s head.
